Morocco and Jordan are poised to secure wide-ranging agreements with the European Union to curb irregular migration and strengthen trade ties, the incoming EU Commissioner for the Mediterranean said. Dubravka Šuica, speaking to European lawmakers in Brussels, emphasized her goal to establish “Strategic and Comprehensive” partnerships with countries across the Mediterranean region. "Negotiations have begun with Jordan, and Morocco is next," Šuica stated, highlighting mutual benefits for the EU and partner nations.
