Conflict Intensity Index: Sahel, Horn of Africa “conflict corridor” doubles in size over last three years
According to a new report by the Conflict Intensity Index (CII), Africa’s ‘conflict corridor’ which spans from Mali to
Morocco plans to launch tenders in 2025 as part of the initial phases of the Nigeria-Morocco gas pipeline. According to Asharq Al-Awsat, this development is part of the 2025 Action Plan by the National Office of Hydrocarbons and Mines (ONHYM), with the tenders focusing on the sections of the pipeline within Morocco. The project’s first phase will include Morocco, Mauritania, and Senegal, and additional agreements for gas transport will be signed next year, the news outlet added.
