Morocco is looking to expand airport capacity to reach 80 million passengers, up from its current 40 million travelers, all by 2035. That’s according to Minister of Transportation Mohamed Abdeljalil who made it clear that the goal was to increase capacity at all the airport facilities in time for the World Cup in 2030. The minister also added that it was Royal Air Maroc’s ambition to quadruple its fleet by 2037, while also seeking to transform the Mohammed V International Airport in Casablanca into an international intercontinental hub.
