Morocco Q1 tourist arrivals hit record 4 million, up 22%

Morocco attracted a record 4 million tourists in Q1 2025, up 22% year-on-year, the tourism ministry said on Thursday. International visitors rose to 2.1 million, while Moroccans abroad accounted for 1.9 million. March saw 1.4 million arrivals, up 17% despite Ramadan. Minister Fatim-Zahra Ammor credited sector reforms and diversified offerings for the growth, driven by marketing campaigns and infrastructure upgrades. Morocco aims to strengthen its position as a year-round destination.
