Morocco, Qatar explore stronger military cooperation

According to a statement from the General Staff of the Royal Armed Forces (FAR), following a recent meeting between Morocco and Qatar with Mohammed Berrid, Inspector General of the Royal Armed Forces and Commander of the Southern Zone, and General Hamad Bin Ali Al Attiyah, advisor to the Emir of Qatar for Defense Affairs, both countries confirmed their desire to strengthen military cooperation. Both countries reiterated support for each other’s territorial integrity. Morocco was able to contribute to the success of the 2022 World Cup by sharing its expertise with the Gulf country, in terms of increased security cooperation ahead of the global tournament.
