Morocco–EU trade reaches historic peak in 2024
Trade between Morocco and the European Union soared to a record-breaking $65 billion in 2024, according to an announcement from
Morocco’s Director General of National Security (DGSN) and Territorial Surveillance (DGST), Abdellatif Hammouchi, was part of tripartite security meetings in Spain alongside the Director General of Spain’s National Police and the President of the German Federal Police. Discussions focused on combating terrorism, human trafficking, smuggling of migrants and illegal immigration, money laundering, as well as crimes related to cyber threats and cyber extortion. They also discussed best practices to secure major sporting events considering Morocco and Spain’s preparations for the 2030 FIFA World Cup.
