Morocco strengthens response plan amidst mpox resurgence

Morocco's Ministry of Health and Social Protection announced Thursday it is closely monitoring the monkeypox (Mpox) outbreak as it spreads across several African nations. The Ministry revealed that a national proactive plan, in place since June 2022, detected five cases by March 2024. Most cases were imported, with no subsequent infections among close contacts. This effort is part of an international epidemiological surveillance system.
