Morocco’s Minister of Investment has launched a multiday roadshow in Japan and South Korea to promote the country as a prime destination for investment and trade opportunities, Morocco World News reports.
From November 25 to 29, Moroccan delegates are engaging with key stakeholders in Tokyo and Seoul as part of the “Morocco Now” campaign. The initiative aims to attract investment in sectors such as automotive manufacturing, aviation, agriculture, and electronics, according to a press release from the ministry.
Morocco has emerged as a significant hub for car production, with the automotive sector contributing approximately $14 billion in exports — about 22% of the nation’s GDP, according to the Associated Press. The country is now positioning itself as a leader in the rapidly growing electric vehicle market.
Key advantages touted by Morocco include its strategic location near Europe, free trade agreements with the European Union and the United States, access to a skilled labor force, and competitive tax incentives for foreign investors. Morocco also boasts extensive infrastructure to support its export-driven economy.
This roadshow reflects Morocco’s broader strategy to deepen global economic partnerships and solidify its reputation as an investment destination.
