Morocco's Director of National Security and Territorial Surveillance, Abdellatif Hammouchi, travelled to the UK this week to discuss enhanced security cooperation, according to Moroccan media outlets. During Hammouchi’s visit to London police headquarters, the UK and Morocco signed a memorandum of understanding focused on bilateral cooperation in security, with a specific emphasis on counterterrorism. Hammouchi met with Mark Rowley, Commissioner of the London Police as well as Matt Jukes, head of British counterterrorism police. He also held talks with Ken McCallum, Director General of Britain’s domestic intelligence agency MI5.
