According to a report out Wednesday from the Tanger Med Port Authority (TMPA), the port complex handled over 10.24 million TEU containers (Twenty-Foot Equivalent Units of port traffic) in 2024, up 18.8% from 2023. Local Moroccan media suggested that the improvement was down to “the commissioning of new equipment, and the optimization of ports of call, which helped reduce waiting and maneuvering times”.
