According to the Ministry of Tourism, Morocco hit a new record of 1.2 million tourist arriving in January, up 27% compared to the same month in 2024. According to a press release in the press release, Fatim-Zahra Ammor, Minister of Tourism, said that “this all-time record of over one million tourists in January establishes Morocco as a true four-season destination.” In addition 2024 was a record breaking year for Morocco tourism; the 2024 Global Tourism Barometer, a survey that assessed the performance of countries since the 2019 pandemic, placed Morocco 8th globally, and 4th among countries with high levels of tourism arrivals, beating regional competitors such as Tunisia and Egypt.
