Libya’s National Oil Corporation Chairman says 70% of Libyan land remains unexplored

The news investigative platform "Eekad" reports that there has been a considerable military expansion of Russian forces in Libyan bases. Eekad said that the Brak Al-Shati base saw changes in infrastructure starting last March, ranging from building new facilities to renovating existing facilities, and it also monitored changes in four other strategic military bases located in central and northern Libya: Al-Jufra, Al-Gardabiya, Al-Khadim, and the port of Tobruk. Eekad also documented air bridges to Al-Jufra base via Russian military cargo planes since late November 2023. It said that many of these flights coincided with reports monitoring the arrival of Russian forces to the base, in addition to evidence of the base being used for Russian corps reinforcements.
