Algeria expelled 1,845 migrants to Niger’s border in a mass operation on April 19, rights group Alarmphone Sahara
According to the NGO Sea Watch, over 30 migrants, including 2 children are stranded on an oil rig off Tunisia. A Sea Watch reconnaissance plane spotted the group on the Miskar oil platform over the weekend, with an empty rubber dinghy floating nearby, a statement said. According to Sea-Watch, the migrants had originally fled from Libya. The charity urged European authorities to act quickly to rescue them.
