President Sisi discusses expanding “Chinese Energy” presence in Egypt

Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi met with Song Hailiang, Chairman of the Board of China Energy Engineering Corp (China Energy), on the sidelines of his state visit to Beijing Friday. 

According to Egyptian media, President Sisi expressed his desire to increase Chinese investments in Egypt’s energy sector. The president placed special emphasis on projects related to green hydrogen 

For his part, China Energy’s chairman highlighted Egypt as among the most promising markets for energy and green hydrogen.
