Prominent Libyan journalist Ahmed Sanussi released after three days of detention

The owner of Sada newspaper website and the presenter of the “Flosna” (Our Money) program on Al-Wasat Channel, journalist Ahmed Al-Sanussi, was released on Sunday, three days after his arrest and detention by the Internal Security Agency. According to the Libyan Observer, the Libyan Internal Security Agency detained the journalist last Thursday for publishing documents related to corruption cases in the Ministry of Economy and Trade of the Government of National Unity. The detention of the journalist was widely condemned in Libya by the United Nations Support Mission in Libya, the US Embassy, ​​the European Union Mission to Libya, and several political figures, activists, and civil society organizations, all of which had called for his immediate release.
