Paris Saint-Germain has extended Achraf Hakimi’s contract until 2029, making him the world’s highest-paid fullback in world football.
Paris Saint-Germain has extended Achraf Hakimi’s contract until 2029, making him the world’s highest-paid fullback in world football. The Moroccan defender will earn €70 million over five years, with his salary rising from €10 million to €14 million per season, according to Mundo Deportivo.
Hakimi, who joined the French champions in 2021, has been instrumental in the team’s success, tallying 17 goals and 27 assists in 147 appearances. His extension comes alongside new deals for Portuguese internationals Vitinha and Nuno Mendes, as well as coach Luis Enrique, as PSG secures key personnel for the future.
Expressing his delight, Hakimi called PSG “a special club” and vowed to continue contributing to its legacy. The deal also ends speculation about a potential return to Real Madrid. As vice-captain, the 25-year-old remains central to PSG’s ambitions, having already helped the club secure multiple domestic titles.
