Six people have died, and 28 others survived a shipwreck off the coast of Mauritania, marking one of the deadliest
Egyptian authorities say rescuers have found survivors after a tourist boat sank in the Red Sea. The boat, named Sea Story, is thought to have sunk close to a popular diving destination called Shaab Satayah. It's understood that the captain was taking the divers around the coast when the vessel experienced a yet unknown issue. According to Maj-Gen Amr Hanafi, the governor of Egypt’s Red Sea province, some of the survivors have been found in the Wadi el-Gemal area, which is south of Marsa Alam, and have been transported by aircraft to receive medical care and that others were waiting to be picked up by an Egyptian warship. He added that air and naval units were continuing to search for the missing.
