Royal Air Maroc has bolstered its fleet with the acquisition of two Boeing 787-9 Dreamliners, signaling a strategic push for expansion, as reported by Morocco World News.
One of the new aircraft will be dedicated to the Casablanca-Los Angeles route, set to launch in 2027, according to Travel Weekly. The second Dreamliner will resume service on the Casablanca-Beijing route on January 20th, following a five-year suspension due to the pandemic.
The airline, which currently serves 45 countries through 134 flight routes, aims to expand its fleet from 52 aircraft to 200 by 2030. This growth aligns with Morocco’s preparations to co-host the 2030 FIFA World Cup alongside Spain and Portugal.
“This plan is designed to address rising travel demand and boost Morocco’s tourism offerings,” said Abdelhamid Addou, CEO of Royal Air Maroc.
As part of its broader vision, Morocco seeks to attract 17.5 million visitors annually by 2026 and increase that figure to 26 million by 2030.
