At the 14th session of the Morocco-Saudi Arabia Joint Commission in Mecca, Saudi’s Foreign Minister, affirmed his country’s “determination to bolster cooperation with Morocco across all areas,” according to Moroccan media. It came after Saudi Arabia also declared that Morocco’s autonomy plan remains the only viable solution to end the ongoing regional dispute over Western Sahara. In addition, Saudi Arabia commended King Mohammed VI’s Royal Initiative to enable the Sahel countries’ access to the Atlantic Ocean, the Process of Atlantic African States, and the Nigeria-Morocco gas pipeline project.
