South African President Cyril Ramaphosa paid tribute to Algeria's war heroes on Friday, laying a wreath at the Martyrs’ Memorial in Algiers and observing a moment of silence for those who died in the War of Liberation. Ramaphosa later toured the National Museum of the Mujahid, receiving an overview of Algeria’s fight for independence. His state visit, at the invitation of Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune, began on Thursday evening.
