Just two months post its inauguration in December 2023, Fiat's Tafraoui plant near Oran, Algeria, has begun expansion plans.
The expansion is set to boost production localization and job creation, with the aim of creating up to 2,000 jobs and transforming Algeria into a strategic industrial hub and export platform for the MENA region.
The plant anticipates a 90,000-unit annual production by 2026, aligning with Stellantis' "Dare Forward 2030" vision for the region.
Since March 2023, Fiat has imported and marketed 76,000 vehicles in Algeria.
