Morocco has introduced a draft revision of its family code, marking the first significant update in 20 years. The proposed
Delegates have been attending a conference in Niamey in support of the Alliance of Sahel States (ASS), comprised of Mali, Burkina Faso, and Niger. The alliance was formed after the three countries experienced military coups and aims to provide support while they’ve been cut off from much of the international community. An economic and defense confederation, the ASS was formed in September last year.
