The ICC is asked to investigate a crackdown on opposition in Tunisia

Lawyers and families of jailed Tunisian opposition leaders urged the International Criminal Court (ICC) on Tuesday to investigate Tunisia's crackdown on political opposition and the mistreatment of Black African migrants. The North African country, offered EU financial support to curb migration, faces mounting allegations of abuse. This marks the second ICC probe request; last year, families of seven imprisoned politicians sought an investigation into claims of political persecution and human rights violations by President Kais Saied's administration.
