Egyptian-UK activist on hunger strike, now ill in prison
AFP reports that British Egyptian activist Alaa Abdel Fattah has become sick after spending more than 50 days on hunger
Tunisian police on Monday detained prominent lawyer and outspoken critic of President Saied, Ahmed Souab, according to media reports. Lawyer Sami Ben Ghazi posted on Facebook: “Security forces raided the home of professor and former judge Ahmed Sawab, and then he was taken to the headquarters of the Tunisian National Counterterrorism Commission (CNLCT) in Bouchoucha.” Souab had been part of the defense team representing a number of human rights activists and politicians that were sentenced on Saturday.
