The first Tunisian ship carrying hundreds of tons of medical and food aid has departed from the port of Rades heading to Egypt to then be sent on to Gaza. According to the Tunisian Red Crescent the “Human Solidarity Ship” is carrying 1,609 tons of medical and food aid, two ambulances, 4 mobile units for basic health care, 19 water tanks, and a mobile blood filtration center, in addition to medicines and aid. It will arrive at Port Said in Egypt after three days; it will then be unloaded onto trucks to be transported overland to Gaza via the Rafah border crossing, in coordination with the Egyptian authorities and the Egyptian Red Crescent.
