Tunisia hopes to increase phosphate output about five-fold to 14-million metric tons in 2030, according to Mining Weekly, quoting a government statement. Following a cabinet meeting the government said it had approved a program to develop phosphate production and transportation during the 2025 to 2030 period. "Phosphate is national wealth that must regain its position, which has always contributed significantly to strengthening the financial resources, thus helping the economy recover", the statement said.
