Hungarian Ganz Machinery Works has signed a cooperation agreement to upgrade Tunisia’s railways, the minister of foreign affairs and trade said in Tunis on Monday. Péter Szijjártó was meeting with his Tunisian counterpart Nabil Amar, noting that trade between the two countries in 2023 hit a record $270 million. Meanwhile, according to the Daily News Hungary, Hungary and Tunisia are also looking to boost cooperation in agriculture, the food industry, agricultural science and water purification. Szijjártó is scheduled to meet Tunisian minister of trade Kalthoum Ben Rejeb on Wednesday.
