Tunisia's President replaces Prime Minister in pre-election shakeup

Tunisia's President Kais Saied has sacked Prime Minister Ahmed Hachani, replacing him with Kamel Maddouri, a current Cabinet member, in a significant government reshuffle ahead of the October presidential election. The announcement made late Wednesday in a press release comes after Hachani served just one year in office. Maddouri, who previously held the position of social affairs minister, will now assume the role of prime minister.
