Tunisia's tourism revenue hit $2.3 billion by December 20, marking a 7.8% increase from last year, according to the German Press Agency. The nation anticipates record-breaking sector earnings as it expects over ten million visitors in 2024. This surge has bolstered Tunisia's foreign currency reserves to 25 billion Tunisian dinars ($8 billion), covering 115 days of imports. Despite this, the Carnegie Middle East Centre notes 2023 as Tunisia's weakest economic year in a decade, barring 2020.
