Famine has taken hold in five additional areas of war-torn Sudan, the UN-backed Integrated Food Security Phase Classification (IPC) review said on Tuesday, predicting further spread in the Darfur region by May. In August the IPC had declared famine in the Zamzam displacement camp in North Darfur.
