UN envoy to Libya Abdoulaye Bathily highlighted the crucial role of regional and international partners in supporting inter-Libyan dialogue in a meeting with France’s ambassador Mostafa Mihraj.
According to a statement issued by the UN Support Mission in Libya (UNSMIL), the officials discussed the latest political and security developments in the north African state and the prospects for reviving the stalled political process.
Bathily stressed the importance of the main Libyan parties' efforts to build on existing agreements to avoid further delay in reaching a political settlement.
He also reiterated the important role that regional and international partners should play in supporting dialogue among Libyans.
