The World Food Programme (WFP) delivered its first food aid in months to Sudan’s conflict-hit Zamzam camp in North Darfur, where famine was confirmed earlier this year. WFP spokeswoman Leni Kinzli said on Tuesday the trucks arrived Friday, providing emergency food for 12,500 displaced people. “These are the first WFP deliveries to the camp in many months,” Kinzli said during a Geneva briefing, speaking via Nairobi.
