A UN Security Council committee is reviewing a US proposal to sanction two Sudanese paramilitary Rapid Support Forces (RSF) generals for endangering Sudan's peace, security, and stability, including through violence and human rights violations. The proposed sanctions would impose an international travel ban and asset freeze on RSF operations head Osman Mohamed Hamid Mohamed and West Darfur Commander Abdel Rahman Juma Barkalla, diplomats informed Reuters.
