UN tourism to establish first African office in Morocco

UN Tourism Secretary-General Zurab Pololikashvili and Moroccan Tourism Minister Fatim-Zahra Ammor signed an agreement to open UN Tourism’s first African office in Rabat, Morocco. The deal, finalized during a meeting in Marrakech on Tuesday, aims to boost innovation, investment, and regional cooperation. The office will offer capacity-building programs for public and private stakeholders, revitalizing Africa’s tourism sector and strengthening Morocco’s industry, according to a Moroccan Tourism Ministry statement.
