UN warns some 25 million Sudanese risk famine without more donations

The World Food Program (WFP) urgently needs greater access to those at risk of starvation in Sudan and increased funding from a crisis-fatigued West, its director said Thursday. To cope, the agency is developing new technologies to predict weather and deliver food during emergencies, but funding remains critical to addressing the escalating crisis.
