UN’s Koury reviews ways to address Libya’s political impasse

The Acting Head of the United Nations Support Mission in Libya (UNSMIL), Stephanie Koury, has met with members of the Libyan Liaison Committee between the House of Representatives and the High Council of State and discussed ways to advance a Libyan-led political process, facilitated by the UN with international support, to address the current impasse. Commenting on X Koury said that “we also discussed the fragile security and ongoing human rights concerns, where the Committee members expressed their keenness to work with UNSMIL engaging all Libyan actors.”
