Sudan reopens Adre border for three months for humanitarian aid

Sudan's sovereign council announced Thursday that the Adre border crossing will reopen for three months to allow humanitarian aid into the country, addressing needs caused by a 15-month civil war. Aid deliveries through the crossing were previously suspended in February after the government claimed the route was being used by the rival RSF faction to transport weapons. The reopening aims to support civilians impacted by the ongoing conflict.
