Brazil has reaffirmed its support for Morocco’s “credible and serious” efforts looking to find a mutually acceptable political solution to the dispute over Western Sahara with the Moroccan Autonomy Plan. It is one of several countries that in recent days have expressed a diplomatic alignment with Morocco’s stance, including Jordan, Qatar and Guatemala. In a meeting between Nasser Bourita, Morocco’s Foreign Minister and Rodrigo Otavi Soares Pacheco, Brazil’s President of the Federal Senate at a press conference in Rabat, said they are also Saudi looking at ways to boost bilateral ties and cooperation at all levels, including defense industries, maritime, and trade.
