Chad’s government has launched an investigation after a group of 24 armed assailants attempted to storm the presidential compound
Libya’s two Deputy Heads of the Presidential Council, Mossa Al-Koni and Abdullah Al-Lafi, met with the US envoy to Libya, Richard Norland, to discuss the latest developments in the political process. The US envoy applauded the efforts of the Presidential Council aimed at interconnecting all political parties and bringing the views of all parties closer together, especially the national reconciliation file, which has reached advanced stages. Norland stressed the full support of the United States for the success of this file to restore stability and lasting peace to the country. The meeting also followed up on the conditions in the southern region: both service and security, in coordination with the Presidential Council.
