At the Annual World Bank meetings in Washington D.C. this week, the International Monetary Fund’s (IMF) “World Economic Outlook” report stated that “Morocco’s economy will grow by 2.8% by the end of 2024 and 3.6% in 2025.” This is line with Bank Al-Maghrib forecasts that stated the Moroccan economy will grow by 2.7% in 2024. It comes after Morocco’s Finance Minister Nadia Fettah, last week, suggested that “Morocco has maintained macroeconomic stability, with projected growth of 3.3% in 2024. The government aims for a robust economic recovery, targeting 4.6% growth in 2025 and keeping inflation at 2%.” On the inflation front, IMF experts expect it to stabilize at 1.7% in 2024, with a slight increase to 2.3% in 2025.
