El-Sisi emphasized that the government's focus extends beyond national security to addressing persistent domestic challenges. He assured the public of the armed forces' readiness to defend Egypt, while also highlighting the need for improved citizen services and stricter oversight of economic and social sectors.
Real Estate and Utilities Under Scrutiny
The president ordered an immediate review of real estate contracts, instructing state agencies to ensure that developers meet their obligations for timely delivery of units and associated infrastructure. El-Sisi warned that legal measures would be taken against developers who fail to honor contracts, underscoring the government's intent to protect citizens' rights in property transactions.
In the utilities sector, el-Sisi directed the Minister of Electricity and Renewable Energy to personally oversee electricity billing, aiming to eliminate arbitrary estimations and facilitate the payment of overdue balances.
