The Benghazi Chamber of Commerce has joined the contract signing for the Julyana Tourist Area, a major development aiming to attract investment, boost tourism, and support urban regeneration in Benghazi.
The Benghazi Chamber of Commerce has announced its participation in the contract signing ceremony for the establishment and development of the Julyana Tourist Area, a new initiative intended to accelerate tourism and urban investment in Benghazi. The agreement was signed between Enmaa Company and Egypt's Waterway Company, part of the Elsewedy Group, with representatives from government agencies and relevant institutions in attendance.
The Julyana Tourist Area project will involve the construction of towers, integrated facilities, and dedicated tourist zones, reflecting a broader vision to transform the Julyana district into a key destination for both visitors and investors. According to the Chamber, the initiative is expected to stimulate economic activity, create new opportunities for the private sector, and contribute to the city's ongoing reconstruction and development efforts.
Private Sector Engagement and Investment Climate
The Benghazi Chamber of Commerce highlighted that its involvement in the project underscores its commitment to supporting investment and fostering partnerships between public and private sectors. The Chamber views such collaborations as essential for creating a favourable investment environment and advancing the city's economic recovery.
Urban Development and Regional Significance
This latest step is part of a wider trend of economic and urban development in Benghazi, with a focus on high-quality projects that enhance infrastructure, services, and tourism facilities. The Chamber believes these efforts will strengthen Benghazi's position as an emerging economic and tourist hub in eastern Libya, making the city more attractive to both domestic and international investors.
