The National Oil Corporation (NOC) has announced the commissioning of a new state-of-the-art crude oil flow measurement system at the Sidra oil terminal, operated by Waha Oil Company. The upgrade is intended to enhance the precision and reliability of crude export operations, a critical factor for Libya's oil sector and public finances.
According to NOC, the system features two metering skids, each equipped with four ultrasonic flow meters, designed to deliver high accuracy in measuring exported crude volumes. The installation also includes an advanced master meter calibration system, enabling continuous verification of meter performance and compliance with international fiscal metering standards. The project was developed with direct oversight from NOC Chairman Masoud Suleiman.
